In my web design class, we had to create a website design for a restaurant called Pines of Nowhere. The project included various pages like home, about, menu, and events. I used external resources for details such as location, food, theme, and images. However, the initial design had numerous mistakes – The overall appearance seemed weak and amateurish–it lacked originality and implemented no design rules. It had a muted and excessively dark look, with many misalignments. In my senior class, I decided to redesign the project, focusing solely on the website's design rather than functionality. I aimed for an inviting, elegant, modern, and bold look. I chose a gold and black theme, used higher-quality images, and learned how to create prototypes in Adobe XD.
